About this Event

Paired with their colossal celebration of all things clay, Union Project presents a free, creative, and thought-provoking hands-on activity for all ages, exploring the art of clay.

Join us in our lower-level studio for a creative and thought-provoking hands-on activity exploring the art of clay!

Artists often draw inspiration from their own experiences. In this activity, draw or write what you are passionate about and add it to our collaborative wall of inspiration. With your idea in mind, create a clay sculpture to add to our temporary gallery display. Additionally, learn about the history of clay and the science of clay at other stations placed throughout the building.

No previous clay experience is necessary. Teaching artists will guide you through different techniques, including coil building, pinching pots, and scoring to attach to aid you in the creation of your original sculpture. Whether you add to the gallery or just come to watch, everyone is an artist at this event!
