About this Event

Discover how kids learn best through hands-on, multisensory activities that bring reading, writing, and problem-solving to life. Families, kids, and educators are invited to experience learning from a fresh perspective!

Join Pittsburgh New Church School for an engaging, family-friendly event that celebrates the many ways children learn. Through interactive simulations, multisensory stations, and hands-on activities, participants will explore how learning differences—like dyslexia—shape the way kids experience school.

This event isn’t just for families impacted by dyslexia. Everyone will benefit from trying out literacy games, maker-style problem-solving activities, and sensory-rich learning experiences designed to show how innovative teaching strategies can unlock student confidence.

Children and parents will learn side by side, discovering fun, practical tools they can use at home or school to make learning more effective. Youth voices will also be highlighted, as students share their own experiences and demonstrate how creativity and resilience play a role in education.

Come connect with our school community, explore new approaches to literacy and learning, and gain a deeper understanding of how inclusive education benefits all children.
