About this Event
Rising high school seniors will quick start their college application essay by attending this hands-on workshop while their parents will learn how to keep their hands-off, yet guide wisely.
No need to panic or procrastinate! Help is here! Rising seniors—and their parents—need not dread this part of the application! At this hands-on workshop, sponsored by the Sarasota Branch of the National League of American Pen Women, you’ll practice how to: Come up with something fresh and original to reveal about yourself, get over writer’s block, leave with a rough draft, turn rough drafts into polished final versions, advise your well-meaning parents how to help, not hinder, the process through a list of questions that will move your writing from start to finish. If you are planning on attending college, this proven workshop, for both students and parents, will give you that positive head start—along with lunch provided by the Education Foundation of Sarasota County.
