About this Event

Bee a citizen scientist and celebrate protecting our pollinators through creative activity stations for World Bee Day.

Eastwood Elementary is encouraging citizen scientists to learn about beekeeping and appreciate our pollinators through creative activities. These outdoor learning stations will encourage exploration of the natural world, promote learning through play, and inspire creativity and problem solving with hands-on activities. Exploration includes, building a bug hotel, modeling the honeybee life cycle, trying on a beekeeper’s suit, checking out beekeeping equipment and bee hive, playing pollinator games, listening to honeybee Read Aloud stories, and seeing how honey is extracted. Master Beekeepers and a live observation hive will allow students to investigate the world of beekeeping as well as taste some honey!
