How to be an Event Host for Remake Learning Days
Join us for Remake Learning Days, a hands-on learning festival for families in regions across the United States and around the world!
YOU can participate by hosting a fun learning experience for youth and families to enjoy together.
Hosting an event doesn’t need to be complicated to be effective! If your organization already offers engaging learning experiences, you can showcase some of the fantastic things you do all year and introduce new audiences to your work during Remake Learning Days.
Small businesses and large employers alike can inspire learners by opening your doors for a little show-and-tell combined with simple activities families can do together. An event can range from a one-hour puppet-making workshop to a full day open house.
The festival categorizes the experiences into six learning themes: Arts, Maker, Science, Technology, Outdoor Learning and Youth Voice. If you need ideas for easy-to-implement activities, check out this list from partners throughout the Kansas City region.
Add Your Event to the Calendar
Once you’ve made your plans, submit your family-friendly event here. Share your event as soon as possible to be part of all of the regional promotion opportunities!
Mini Grant Support
To support their Remake Learning Days events, Kansas City region organizations may apply for mini grants in the $250 range, made possible by the generosity of The DeBruce Foundation. Larger block grants are available for initiatives with multiple partners or neighborhood leaders organizing a series of events for a specific area. All grants will be managed by the Community Capital Fund.
More details on the application deadline will be shared soon. Funds can be used to cover any food costs, supplies, staff time, technology or other expenses related to the event.
Grant recipients will be asked to share photos of events or documentation of online activities and complete a post-event survey.
