EARTH DAY CELEBRATION & COMMUNITY FESTIVAL

The family-friendly drop-in event will feature food, festivities and hands-on activities for youth from the Beloit Public Library and almost a dozen local organizations!
As Beloit’s celebration of “Badgerland Learning Days,” you are invited to celebrate all of the fun and different ways we learn in our community with a variety of hands-on activity booths hosted by partner organizations.
Listen to stories connected to Earth Day; learn how you can help protect our planet; meet Splash, the mascot for Protect Wisconsin Waterways; check out some cool displays; play fun games; and make a theme-related craft.
While you’re here, check out these cool activities:
- Earth Day storytelling
- Meet Splash, the mascot for Protect Wisconsin Waterways
- Make an art project or play a small table game for prizes
- Do a small craft, play the helpful health facts game
- Spin a wheel to learn a fun fact about fungi, craft a mushroom with recycled materials, and look at mushrooms under a microscope
- Collect Veggie seeds, learn about programming, gain gardening knowledge
- Design and make your own quilt squares
- Explore bones, skulls and cool nature items
- Learn more about organizations and programs in the community
Thanks to our collaboration with Dwelling Angels, complimentary refreshments will be provided for families to enjoy from 12pm — 1:30pm.
Drop in anytime during the event hours of 1-2pm to enjoy the festivities and hands-on activities, hug a Support Dog, make music and more. A free community meal will be provided by Dwelling Angels from 12 – 1:30pm.
Badgerland Learning Days is part of a global initiative designed to showcase the many excellent ways families and youth can joyfully learn together in our community.
