Badgerland Learning Days unfurls pathways of discovery

The annual festival returns to southern Wisconsin April 19-27, creating moments of wonder, discovery and joyful learning for children, parents, caregivers, and educators.

“Remake Learning Days” is the largest global learning festival bringing together students, families, teachers and local communities to experience the wonder of learning.   Festivals are planned across 12 regions in the United States and in 3 international locations: Uruguay, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.  Supporting the festival is a growing body of research showing that shared community exploration and learning improves students’ academic performance and social skills, exposing them to a world of opportunities, interests and life-changing experiences.

In Wisconsin, the Badgerland Learning Days Festival takes place April 19-27 at locations across south central Wisconsin.  Events cover themes of the arts, sciences, maker ed, outdoor learning, technology and youth voice.  The majority of events are free to youth and families.

Locally, over five dozen organizations, including museums, libraries, schools, after school programs, local businesses and community organizations are collaborating to celebrate joyful learning at locations throughout the region, inviting families to explore and wonder together.

“Badgerland Learning Days is a terrific way to celebrate the creativity and joy of learning together.  The festival showcases great examples of learning in our communities and supports educators, parents and caregivers in the vital work they are doing to guide and grow with their children,” says WI Festival Coordinator, Kathe Crowley Conn.  “These events connect them to fresh experiences and exciting resources right in their own communities!”

“We have seen overwhelming responses to Remake Learning Days from children, parents, grandparents, and educators. I believe that our events resonate because they expand opportunities for curiosity and connection for families as they discover new things together,” shares Dorie Taylor, Producer of Remake Learning Days Festivals nationally and across the globe.
