Dr. Jill Jacoby is the Assistant Executive Director of Teaching & Learning at Allegheny Intermediate Unit, Pittsburgh, PA. She previously served as Superintendent of the Fort Cherry School District in McDonald, PA, from 2014 to 2021, and was the district’s Elementary Principal from 2001 to 2014.
Dr. Jacoby started her educational journey as a second and third-grade teacher and Dean of Students in the Shikellamy School District in Northumberland, PA. She has also taught adult education and alternative education and coached girls’ high school soccer.
She earned her Doctorate of Education from the University of Pittsburgh and holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Bucknell University.
Dr. Jacoby advocates for educational change at the regional, state, and national levels through various professional associations and networks. She is active in several organizations, including AASA, PASA, and Southwest Region Women’s Leadership Network.
Dr. Jacoby resides in Moon Township, PA, with her husband and three children. She is involved in community service and youth sports associations and is dedicated to fostering positive change in education for young minds.
