Lorraine Shaffer is a retired elementary school and computer technology teacher residing in Slippery Rock, PA. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Kid’s Innovation Playground (KiP), a 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission to bridge the educational gap in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) experiences for children PreK-8th grade in rural western Pennsylvania. Through KiP, she has created a much-needed out of school time space for children to “try-on” a variety of personal enrichment and career paths.
