Teresa Brown brings a decade of experience as a middle level mathematics and elementary teacher to her current role as a Mathematics Curriculum Specialist at IU1. In her second year as a specialist, she applies her teaching expertise to support K-12 school districts, collaborating closely with administrators and teachers to enhance student outcomes through a focus on curriculum development and professional development for teachers. Teresa is currently a doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction at Penn State University, specializing in mathematics. Her research interests include the development of children’s early numeracy skills and exploring the impact of teachers’ resilience and mathematics identities on student learning experiences and achievement. She is a competitive strength athlete, dog mom, wife, and lover of life!
