Join Creek Connections and Crawford County Conservation District to discover the fascinating world of aquatic macroinvertebrates of Woodcock Creek in Stainbrook Park.

Join Creek Connections from Allegheny College at Stainbrook Park Shelter #2 in an exploration of the tiny animals that inhabit Woodcock Creek. You will discover the fascinating world of aquatic macroinvertebrates. These animals are an important part of the ecosystem and also help scientists to determine water quality. Discover interesting adaptations that allow these critters to blend with the stream bottom and create a thriving creek community. This event is hosted by the Crawford County Conservation District. After this event, students will need to complete the artifact survey.  This survey will be shared with your public K-12 school so you and your school can earn career portfolio credit for the Backpack Challenge!
