We will celebrate robotics education in our schools with robotics design challenges for attendees to engage with at all ages, showcase student projects from across the district, and have opportunities to engage with robotics industry professionals.
Pittsburgh Public Schools Robotics Celebration of Learning
May 4th, 2024 – 10AM – 2PM
UPrep at Milliones
Pittsburgh Public Schools will host a celebration of student learning centered around robotics education. During the celebration, we will have robotics design challenges for participants of all ages to engage with to experience first-hand what our youth do in school with robotics, including LEGO Robotics, Mechanical and Autonomous Robots, and Live Demonstrations of robots built by students. Additionally, the celebration will include a showcase of student work from across all schools in the district related to robotics, which includes programming pre-built robots, building and programming their robots from scratch, and FIRST Robotics Competition robots from this year’s challenge, FIRSTinShow.
Lastly, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with robotics professionals from across the city to learn about the career connections students make while learning in our schools, as well as post-secondary institutions in robotics and robotics-adjacent programs like computer programming and manufacturing.
